Which football games are coming to Paramount+ in January

January 2023 brings some exciting competitions to Paramount+. Even though the Champions League doesn’t return until February, the return to steady club action is enough to whet football fans’ appetites.
The Scottish Premiership, for example, already had one of its biggest games of the season. Old Firm saw a tricky 2-2 draw between Rangers and Celtic. Subsequently, Serie A began its post-World Cup restart on January 4 with all 20 teams involved.
Even though those big games are in the past, there’s plenty to look forward to as 2023 kicks off.

Tuesday January 10 – Inter Milan vs. Parma (Coppa Italia)
Last season’s Coppa Italia champions, Inter Milan, rejoin the competition in the round of 16. There, it takes on a team that spent many years in the top flight before suffering a major collapse. Parma is still rebuilding to return to the pinnacles of Serie A football, and a game at San Siro has the potential to make a great statement.
Thursday, January 12 – NWSL College Draft
The National Women’s Soccer League has a serious business becoming the top women’s soccer league in the world. While not necessarily part of the schedule, Paramount+ will broadcast the draft for the National Women’s Soccer League in January. Croix Bethune and Isabella D’Aquila are two names expected to leave early.
Friday January 13 – Juventus vs. Naples (Serie A)
Napoli’s first game in Serie A was against Inter Milan. Entering that game, Napoli were the only undefeated team in league play left in Europe. That created something of a cushion at the top of the table. However, that lead is under the microscope as Luciano Spalletti returns to action. Juventus travel to the Deigo Armando Maradona stadium for what is likely to be a top-four clash.
Wednesday January 18 – Inter vs. Milan (Super Cup Italiana)
Every Derby della Madonnia is worth watching. Add to that the fact that this game is for the first trophy of the Italian season, and there’s even more benefit. Inter and Milan have been on a resurgence in recent seasons, winning the last two Scudettos and the previous Coppa Italia, hence Inter qualifying for this competition.
Tuesday January 24 – Lazio vs. Milan (Serie A)
Serie A is a remarkably close-knit league, and this game shows it. Although these two clubs are only six points apart, one is second and the other is fifth. A win by one and a loss by the other has huge consequences for the final table. That makes this match between Lazio and defending Scudetto winner Milan so crucial.
