The closing moments of the opening ceremony saw the captains of the two teams, Dhoni and Hardick Pandya, Being called on stage for a photo session with the performers and officials of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). It was a moment of pride for both captains to represent their respective teams on such a large platform.
During this photo shoot, Arijit approached Dhoni and touched his feet despite the latter trying to stop him. This gesture of humility and respect from Arijit left all those present in the stadium in awe.
