Virat Kohli names the historical female figure he would like to take out to dinner

Ahead of the Test series against Australiaformer captain of India Virat Kohli answered some interesting questions about his personal life.

While Kohli is now regarded as a successful, capable international cricketer, it wasn’t all that way before. In fact, it wasn’t until after his first World Cup that he started to take fitness seriously.

In a recent interview with fashion brand ‘Wrogn’, Kohli revealed that he literally ate all the junk food in the world until he was 24, so for him it was the strangest diet he’s ever tried.

When asked about his plank record, the Delhi boy replied: “3 and a half minutes. I think so.”

Kohli, who is happily married to Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma and has a three-year-old daughter Vamikaalso opened up about a historical female figure he would like to take out to dinner.

“I never had the chance to meet Lataji, so…” told the talisman attachment to the show’s host.

“It would have been great to have a conversation and learn more about her life and about her journey,” Kohli added.

For the inexperienced, the ‘Nightingale of India’ Lata Mangeshkar passed away last February. She was the voice behind many generations of movie actors, but for every song she got, she devoted herself as a newcomer would.

Lataji’s first major hit was the 1949 film Mahal’s Aayega Anewala, and her dedication to her craft was the same right up to the end.

When Kohli learned about Lataji’s demise, he took to Twitter to pay a big tribute to the winner of Bharat Ratna.

“Deeply saddened to hear about the demise of Lata ji. Her melodious songs touched millions of people around the world. Thanks for all the music and the memories. My deepest condolences to the family and loved ones,” Kohli then tweeted.

Virat and Anushka visit Rishikesh

Several photos are going viral on the internet showing Virat and Anushka adoring Swami Dayanand Giri Ashram in Rishikesh.

Reportedly, the couple will also participate in public religious rituals at the ashram and then host a bhandara (religious feast).

Virat and Anushka’s visit to Rishikesh comes days after they sought blessings at the Neem Karoli Baba Ashram in Vrindavan.
