Twitter Reactions: Suryakumar Yadav’s fast barrel propels India to series victory over Sri Lanka

Team India recorded a dominant victory over Sri Lanka in the decisive third and final T20 International (T20I) to seal Saturday’s three-game series 2-1.
Suryakumar Yadav was the star of the evening for the hosts as he continued his golden run with the bat and smashed his third T20I century to light up Saurashtra Cricket Stadium in Rajkot. The right-handed hitter entered at No. 4 and reached the three-digit mark of just 45 pitches using 6 fours and eight giant sixes.
Suryakumar also became the first non-opener to reach three T20I centuries and the second fastest centurion for India after Rohit Sharmawho scored a ton of 35 balls against the same opponent in Indore in 2017.
Surya showed a wide range of sparkling shots and took all the Lankan bowlers to the cleaners. India’s vice-captain completed his fifty off just 26 balls and then took just 19 pitches to reach the 100 run as the world’s number one batsman remained undefeated with 112 from 51 pitches. Aside from SKY, opener Shubman Gill chipped with a 36-ball 46-run knock.
In response, the Islanders were tied for only 137 points and lost the game by 91 points. Arshdeep Singh (3/20) took three wickets while Hardik Panya (2/30), Yuzvendra Chahal (2/30) and Umran Malik (2/31) took two wickets each.

I’ve been lucky enough to see some great players at the top of their game. Watching @surya_14kumar from the past year sits comfortably on that list.

I never looked @ivivianrichards placing fear and awe in equal measure and sense of unhappiness in bowler. Could be @surya_14kumar just a glimpse of how the king used to play.
PS- I am by no means trying to compare the incomparable Richards to #SuryakumarYadav— Vimal कुमार (@Vimalwa) January 7, 2023
Incredible Surya!!! Enchanting to the eyes. Unreal things #INDvSL
