Twitter Reactions: Perth Scorchers take 5th win in BBL|12; defeated Melbourne Renegades to continue the domination
Like every season Perth Schroeters – the most successful team in the Men’s Big Bash League (BBL) – have continued their dominance in the ongoing 2022-23 edition of the T20 tournament. The Scorchers recorded their fifth win of the season after beating Melbourne Renegades by five wickets at Docklands Stadium on Sunday.
First up, the Renegades hit 155/6 thanks to former skipper Aaron Finchthe blistering half century. The veteran scored 65 off 48 deliveries, using 6 fours and a pair of sixes. For the sears, Andrew Tie was the bowler’s choice, taking three wickets while conceding 32 runs in his 4 overs quota.
In response, the game went to the wire, where Scorchers managed to chase down the target with two balls to spare. Cameron Bancroft and Josh Inglis teamed up for a crucial grandstand to get their side home. While Bancroft hit 46 from 32 balls, Inglis scored 47 from 34 deliveries.
