Twitter Reactions: Ollie Robinson, James Anderson bowl England to stunning victory over Pakistan in first Test

In a dramatic end to an incredible test, England defeated Pakistan at Pindi Cricket Stadium to go 1-0 up in the three-match series. The visitors achieved the first test, in the last session of day 5, with 74 runs. The tempo duo of Oliver Robinson and James Anderson took four wickets each on a slow course to knock out Pakistan for 268 runs in the second innings.

The last wicket pair of Naseem Shah and Mohammed Ali gave their best and tried to tie the game from what looked like a losing position for Pakistan. However, they fell short despite England’s persistence. The pair held the England bowlers off for 52 balls before Jack Leach finally managed to trap Naseem up front.

Earlier, Saud Shakeel hit his first half-century to keep Pakistan in the hunt before leaving for 76. Imam-ul-Haq and Mohammed Rizwan scored 48 and 46 respectively. England posted a record 657 in their first innings before bagging the hosts for 579 and then declaring their second innings at 264/7.
