Twitter reactions: Devon Conway, Tom Latham lead New Zealand’s strong response after Pakistan’s huge score

Devon Conway and Tom Latham led New Zealand’s strong reply to Pakistan’s 438 in their first innings on Day 2 of the ongoing First Test at the National Stadium in Karachi.
Conway, who became the fastest New Zealand batsman with 1000 test runs (19 innings), and Latham set a record 165 runs in the opening. Both Latham and Conway showed the utmost patience as they kept the Pakistani bowlers at bay. Wicket-keeper Latham remained unbeaten on 78 while Conway remained unbeaten on 82.
Earlier Pakistan lost centurion skipper Babar Azam in the first morning, but Agha Salman shone with the bat to help the hosts reach a huge total. Salman crushed his maiden Test century as the home side posted 438 in their first innings. Captain Black Caps Tim Southee led New Zealand bowling with 3/69 from 25.5 overs. Likewise the trio of spinners Ajax Patel, Michael Bracewell and Is Sodi six wickets packed between them.

I really hope Wasim Jr gets some reverse swing as the ball ages as he’s probably our best bet to take wickets here or else we’re in for some toil in Karachi. New Zealand would like to pile up points and take Pakistan’s win out of the equation. #PAKvNZ

165 for no loss. Day 2 Stumps.
Now the Pakistani journalist will ask on the YouTube channel
– Why did Babar Azam fail to take wickets? Babar should have taken at least five times
A few days ago everyone was asking why you didn’t choose Mir Hamza. Lo Hamza ne fir-er liye 😂#PAKvNZ
