Twitter erupts as Ajinkya Rahane hits double century in Mumbai vs Hyderabad clash at Ranji Trophy
In the ongoing 2022-23 Ranji Trophy, Ajinkya Rahanewho leads the Mumbai team hit a brilliant double century during an Elite Group B match against Hyderabad at the Bandra Kurla Complex on Wednesday.
Rahane came to bat on Day 1 when Mumbai’s score was 176 for losing two wickets in 32.2 overs. From then on, the right-handed batsman built up a stellar 206-run team for the third wicket Yashasvi Jaiswalwho scored 162 runs off 195 balls with 27 fours and one six.
Rahane had already scored his hundred on an opening day and picked up where he left off on the second day. After the loss of Yashasvi, Rahane and Sarpharaz Khan sewn together a brilliant 196-run stand for the fourth wicket to put Mumbai in a commanding position.
Rahane hit a double hundred and then scored 204 runs off 261 balls using 26 fours and three sixes. He was fired by Tanay Thyagarajan in the 111th over of Mumbai’s innings.

It was Rahane’s fourth double century in first-class cricket and the second of the current domestic season. After his incredible beating, the fans took to Twitter and expressed their emotions.
