Tottenham report: Harry Kane is ready to leave Spurs this summer

Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane is ready to end his Spurs career this summer and look for another place.
The Lilywhites are in the top four, but are stuck in a rut under manager Antonio Conte, following last weekend’s 3-3 draw at Southampton. Although the season started with some pundits suggesting Tottenham could challenge Manchester City and Liverpool at the top of the table, Spurs are instead poised for a 15th season without silverware.
Conte looks set to leave his managerial position in the coming weeks – and now the North Londoners face the prospect of losing their talisman and record goalscorer too.
According to the mirror (opens in new tab)Kane wants to leave Tottenham, leaving chairman Daniel Levy with two choices: sell or let his greatest asset expire.
England captain Kane’s contract expires in 2024, the summer of his 31st birthday. He is allowed to leave the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for free, making Levy’s last realistic sales opportunity the next transfer window.
The times (opens in new tab)meanwhile says Tottenham would only consider selling Kane for £100 million, with the likes of Real Madrid, Manchester United and Bayern Munich all linked to the striker in recent years.
United is perhaps the most likely. Kane is just 57 goals off Alan Shearer’s all-time goalscoring record in the Premier League and could prefer a move to another England side to surpass the Newcastle United legend. Moreover, it is unlikely that Real Madrid or Bayern would offer a nine-figure fee for a player over 30.
After breaking Jimmy Greaves’ longtime goalscoring record with Spurs, Kane is now poised to do the same with England. The Three Lions captain is tied with Wayne Rooney on 53 goals and will take on Italy and Ukraine in the Euro 2024 qualifiers this week.
Kane is valued at €90 million by Transfer market (opens in new tab).
