The Bucs opponents for 2023 are nearing finality

The Bucs won the NFC South division title for the second straight year thanks to a come-from-behind, 30-24 victory over the visiting Panthers. That victory all but solidified the team’s opponents in 2023.
All that remains is to determine which NFC East team Tampa Bay will host in 2023. That will be determined in Week 18 when the 13-3 Eagles host the 9-6-1 Giants and the 12-4 Cowboys host the 7 -8-1 visits. Commanders. The outcome of these NFC East matchups will determine the division champion, which will be Philadelphia with a win, or Dallas with a win and a loss to the Eagles in Week 18.

By winning the NFC South, the Bucs will also meet the division winners in the NFC West (12-4 San Francisco), the NFC East – either Philadelphia or Dallas – and the AFC East (12-3 Buffalo) next season. But the Week 18 outcome will also determine which team will receive the Bucs in the Wild Card playoff round. Tampa Bay is locked in the No. 4 seed, and the runner-up in the NFC East, currently Dallas, would be the No. 5 seed and travel to Raymond James Stadium for the first round of the playoffs.
The NFC South will play against the AFC South and NFC North divisions in 2023. The NFC South and AFC South were the weakest divisions in the NFL in 2022 with the division leaders – the Bucs and the Jaguars – both holding 8-8 records.
Here’s a look at the teams the Bucs will play in 2023, with times and dates to be announced after the 2023 NFL Draft in May. Due to the league’s 17-game schedule, AFC teams will host an additional home game in 2023 after the NFC hosted an additional home game this season. The extra home this year was in Germany, where Tampa Bay beat Seattle 21-15.
