South Africa will take West Indies in the limited-overs series featuring three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and as many T20 Internationals (T20Is), starting Thursday (March 16) in East London.

The two sides recently faced each other in the Test series, where the hosts registered a clean sweep after beating the visitors 2-0.

South Africa and the West Indies are seeking a direct entry into the ODI World Cup, which will be held in India later this year. However, this series will not play a role in this context. In particular, the top eight in the ODI Super League standings deserve direct entry into the upcoming World Cup. Currently, the Caribbean team is ranked eighth while South Africa is ranked ninth.
