Looking for a live stream of Manchester United vs Burnley? We’ve got you covered.
Erik ten Hag’s team resumes the 2022/23 season after the World Cup break with this home game in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.
They secured this draw against Burnley by beating Aston Villa (opens in new tab) 4-2 in the previous round, a few days later they ended the first part of the Premier League season by winning against Fulham (opens in new tab) 2-1.
United kept that win (opens in new tab) fifth in the table, three points behind fourth-placed Tottenham (opens in new tab) – on whom they have a game in their hands. Ten Hag’s team got off to a disastrous start to the campaign, losing the first two games to Brighton (opens in new tab) and Brentford (opens in new tab)but the Dutchman is starting to convey his ideas.
In that sense, the World Cup break may have been better for United than for many other Premier League teams.
Burnley have made two appearances since United were last in competitive action, with the Championship taking a shorter break for action in Qatar.
Back-to-back victories over Queens Park Rangers and Middlesbrough have boosted the Clarets’ promotion chances, although their manager Vincent Kompany knows there is still a long way to go.
However, Burnley have undoubtedly got off to an excellent start: halfway through the campaign they have a six-point lead at the top of the standings. Meanwhile, Kompany’s team has already eliminated Shrewsbury Town and Crawley Town in this competition.
United cannot call on the services of Diogo Dalot and Axel Tuanzebe due to an injury.
Argentina international Lisandro Martinez and France international Raphael Varane will not be involved as close to the World Cup final, while Casemiro, Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw could be left out after starting for their countries in the quarter-finals.
Burnley will have to do without Ashley Westwood as the midfielder continues his comeback from injury, while Anass Zaroury will not feature after appearing for Morocco in the play-offs for third place at the World Cup on Saturday.

VPN guide
If you’re abroad for a round of Carabao Cup action, your domestic on-demand services are annoyingly down – the broadcaster knows where you are because of your IP address (boo!). You’ll be blocked from watching it, which isn’t ideal if you’ve paid for a subscription and still want to see the action without resorting to illegal feeds found on Reddit.
But help is available. To get around that, all you need to do is purchase a Virtual Private Network (VPN), assuming it meets your broadcaster’s terms and conditions. A VPN creates a private connection between your device and the internet, meaning the service can’t find out where you are and won’t automatically block the service you paid for. All information that passes between them is fully encrypted – and that’s a result.
