Liverpool in advanced talks to sign ‘the Spanish Musiala’ for Chelsea, Newcastle and Arsenal – with offer ‘definitely accepted’: report

Liverpool are closing in on a sensational Spanish prodigy compared to Jamal Musiala, ahead of Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle United all interested.
The Reds have already started their summer business with the £35 million signing of Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Alexis Mac Allister – but would ideally like at least one more midfielder. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita and James Milner all left for free this summer.
Jurgen Klopp and the new Jorg Schmadtke are still eyeing new recruits to follow Mac Allister’s signature – although one Spanish talent will have them battling rivals in the Premier League.
According to the northern echotalks to sign Celta Vigo intriguer Gabri Veiga are at an “advanced” stage, with Spanish outlet Relev claiming the starlet has been “seduced” by the project at Anfield. Chelsea recently joined the race The protectorwith Mauricio Pochettino a fan of his – with Liverpool hoping their groundwork will make it too late for the Blues to come in.
Veiga has been compared to Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala for his dribbling style, directness and low center of gravity. As an attacking midfielder who can play on either wing, he would most likely get one of Klopp’s No. 8 roles.
According to IF in Spain in April, however, Celta was said to have been “confident” of accepting a £35 million offer from Arsenal, who were reportedly interested in the 21-year-old.
Whether Liverpool would be willing to pay the same amount on an unproven La Liga product as they just paid for Mac Allister remains to be seen – and so the deal could look very different to what it did a few months ago.
Liverpool would also be in the market for a centre-back and full-back cover this summer.
Veiga is valued at €30 million by Transfer market.
