Kevin Durant exclaims ‘cry’ over Warriors decision

NBA Analytics Network

Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant has played exceptionally well so far this NBA season. He is a big reason why the team is currently on a 10-game winning streak and climbing the Eastern Conference standings every day.

At 23-12, they are now just 2.5 games behind the Boston Celtics for the No. 1 seed. Brooklyn has gone 14-2 since Thanksgiving, showing just how dominant a team can be when its focus is solely on the basketball court. But if there’s one player who always finds time to answer some social media critique between hoops, it’s Durant.

Durant is very active on NBA Twitter, routinely replying to fans and fighting trolls at the same time. Recently, Durant has become a topic of discussion again due to a video that has gone viral of Evan Turner, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft, interviewing Andre Iguodala.

Turner brought up the Golden State Warriors dynasty, including the signing of Durant as a free agent in 2016 after they knocked out Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Finals but were defeated in the NBA Finals by the Cleveland Cavaliers in seven games. a 3-1 lead. Turner didn’t hesitate to give his opinion on how things were going.

A Twitter user responded and agreed with Turner’s view. He took it a step further, including Durant saying he knew it was weak and was part of the reason he left. Durant decided he had time today, reached out and fired back at people who were still “crying,” as he put it, about joining the Warriors.

Golden State made it look easy at times with Durant in the fold as opponents couldn’t keep up with him, Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. However, their success took its toll. All four players have since dealt with significant injuries, starting during the 2019 NBA Postseason, which ended with an NBA Finals defeat at the hands of the Toronto Raptors.

It certainly was a shocking decision for the basketball world when Durant chose to sign with the Warriors as a free agent, especially since he and Russell Westbrook had come so close to being dethroned during the 2016 postseason.

While some fans were disappointed that he didn’t stay with the Thunder, Durant is far from the first player to ever join other superstars to create a super team and he won’t be the last.
