Insider’s new update on Lakers, D’Angelo Russell

An NBA insider thinks the Los Angeles Lakers’ best bet is to re-sign D’Angelo Russell this summer.

Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium talked about Russell, Kyrie Irving, Fred VanVleet and the Lakers on Fan Duel TV.

“They ended up going to the Western Conference Finals. According to ESPN front office insider Bobby Marks, Russell is eligible through June 30 to sign a two-year, $67.5 million extension with the Lakers. If overtime is not reached between Russell and the Lakers, the All-Star guard will hit unlimited free duty.
