From Sachin Tendulkar to Yuvraj Singh: Cricket Brotherhood reacts as Argentia, led by Lionel Messi, win FIFA WC

Cricketers and their love of football is an established phenomenon, and it was on display again when the highly anticipated FIFA World Cup final between France and Argentina. Cricketers from all over were spotted supporting their favorite team and enjoying the thrilling match.

Lionel MessiArgentina defeated France 4–2 in a penalty shootout, ending the nation’s 36-year wait for their third FIFA World Cup title at Qatar’s Lusail Stadium. Both sides scored two goals each and the match went into extra time. Messi then struck in the 108th minute before Mbappé equalized in the 118th minute as the game was still on the line with the score tied at 3–3. Finally, the game’s fate was sealed by a penalty shootout in which Argentina defeated France.

Argentina captain Messi, who scored two of the team’s three goals in the final, won the ‘Golden Ball’ as Player of the Tournament. After the exciting encounter, the cricketers shared their reactions on social media platforms.

Legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar congratulated Argentina and praised their captain Messi along with goalkeeper Martinez.
