Indian wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant led the inside MS Dhoni in him as he produced exceptional work behind the stumps to get rid of Nurul Hassan on Day 4 of the ongoing First Test at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.

Pant helped India take the sixth wicket of Bangladesh’s second innings with his stunning wicket-keeper. It all happened on the last pitch of the 88th bowled over Axar Patel when the left arm threw a full pitch and pulled the batter forward in a drive.

The ball spun enough to go around the perimeter, and Pant showed off his quick glove work as he picked up the ball and broke the stumps in no time. The momentum of pulling forward pulled Nurul’s back leg out of its fold. The stupid appeal was sent upstairs, where it was found that the batter’s foot was not behind the line when the bail was lit.

Pant’s work left netizens baffled, as many remembered former Indian captain Dhoni, known for his lightning work behind the stumps. Speaking of the game of the day, India was nevertheless able to stay in the match Zakir Hassan‘s sensational century.

India, in particular, took a total of six wickets in the last two sessions, which came as a huge relief to them after the opening session was completely dominated by openers from Bangladesh – Najmul Hossain Shanto and Zakir – who put together a stunning unbeaten run of 119 points and added 77 in the session before the first break.

In the end, Bangladesh reached 272/6 in their massive 513 chase, needing 241 more runs to win the match. India, on the other hand, are inches closer to victory as they only need four wickets with one last day left.
