Team India continue their dominance bangladesh on day 3 of the ongoing first test at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram. The will of Cheteshwar Pujara and Shubman Gill gave Bangladesh’s bowlers no chance and destroyed their respective centuries to put India on top.
While Gill scored his first barrel in the longest format, Pujara slammed his 19th century. The pair formed a sparkling 113-run partnership for the second wicket. Gill was eventually dismissed for a well-made 110 off 152 balls, using 10 fours and three sixes. However, Pujara remained undefeated at 102 and just past his 100th captaincy KL Rahul declared India’s innings for 258/2 in 61.4 overs, setting the hosts’ target of 513 runs.
At stumps, Bangladesh managed to go 41/0 on the board, with both openers Najmul Hossain Shanto (22 no) and Zakir Hassan (19 no) to remain undefeated. Earlier, India bundled Bangladesh for 150, with left arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav a brilliant five-wicket haul for 40 runs in 16 overs, including six maidens.

You knew all the beatings to the body and the pain Cheteshwar Pujara endured two summers ago for his team in Australia without caring about his scores and all the deliveries he has soaked in since would result in a plethora of big tons. Today could just be the beginning #BanvInd

Both Pujara and Rahane were dropped around the same time…Pujara’s provincial spell seemed to have turned the tide in his favour. 90 in the first innings, followed by a 136-ball century. Well played, Che Pujara 👏👏 #BanvInd
