Arsenal report: Mykhaylo Mudryk has agreed a deal, with final confirmation imminent

Arsenal are closing in on a deal for Mykhaylo Mudryk, with an announcement expected shortly.
That’s according to multiple reports following the Gunners’ routine 3-0 win over Oxford United in the FA Cup third round, with full-time manager Mikel Arteta remaining tight-lipped about the potential for incomes. Arsenal have been pursuing Mudryk since the summer and the target himself likes social media activity linking him to North London.
Chelsea are said to be interested in the Ukrainian, although a deal in principle for Joao Felix appears to have ended that pursuit – leaving Arteta and co. a freewheel to Mudryk’s signature.
According to Santi Aouana (opens in new tab) from Foot Mercato (opens in new tab)has Mudryk closed a deal (opens in new tab) with both Arsenal and Shakhtar getting closer and closer in the middle for a fee. It was believed that the Ukrainian side demanded around £80 million, while Arsenal offered almost £50 million.
According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano (opens in new tab)“direct conversations” took place between both clubs (opens in new tab) on the day of the game in Oxford.
Shakhtar deputy sporting director Carlo Nicolini had previously confirmed TVfplay (opens in new tab) that “Arsenal’s interest is there, I can’t deny it”, while Yehor Danylov, editor at the Ukrainian outlet sports arena (opens in new tab) has claimed that the talks have taken a major step forward.
“The London club wants the bonuses to be a minimum of 30% of the total transfer fee, Shakhtar wants the bonuses to be a maximum of 20%,” he said.
The confirmation is not yet complete. The two clubs have yet to agree final figures, but Danylov’s claim that add-on percentages need to be ironed out suggests the move could be finalized sooner rather than later. It’s possible that this is a deal Arsenal have now made ahead of the weekend’s North London Derby, although there is still a slim chance that the move will fall through completely.
Mudryk is appreciated by Transfer market (opens in new tab) be worth about 40 million euros.
