Arsenal report: Gunners sign French prodigy for FREE

Arsenal have agreed a deal to sign a French superstar ahead of numerous rivals.
That’s according to reports claiming the Gunners – who are currently on a warm-weather training camp in the Middle East – are looking to improve on a winning team to top the Premier League during the international break.
Mikel Arteta’s side are in a surprising title race, finishing the first half of the domestic campaign on top with five points en route to the World Cup. But rumors indicate that the North Londoners are not resting on their laurels and have already agreed a deal that would significantly strengthen their side.
Il Romanista (opens in new tab) in Italy has claimed Arsenal have reached an agreement to sign much-wanted Evan Ndicka on a free transfer once the defender’s contract expires in the summer at Eintracht Frankfurt.
Tottenham Hotspur one of many clubs looking to sign the Frenchman (opens in new tab) – so if the Gunners get their hands on him, it means a serious coup.
The source claims that Ndicka’s imminent arrival is likely to be believed with “more than reasonable certainty” that he will join. This will significantly bolster Arteta’s side at the back with another left-footed defender fitting into the back line in Gabriel’s place.
Some thought the Brazilian was the weak link in the winning side this season, making high-profile mistakes against the likes of Fulham. However, Ndicka is highly regarded from the Bundesliga, having won the Europa League last season and excelling in the Champions League this autumn in a group with Tottenham Hotspur.
With players due to expire soon being able to sign pre-contracts in January, the deal could become official as early as next month. However, the agreement that Arsenal has with the player is not yet binding for a contract in the summer.
Ndicka is estimated to be around €32 million by Transfer market (opens in new tab).
