Arsenal report: Dusan Vlahovic poised for shock Emirates Stadium turnaround

Arsenal could be on the verge of signing Dusan Vlahovic almost a year after they first attempted to sign the Serbian hitman.
Vlahovic played for Fiorentina 12 months ago and had an impressive season for it i viola and attract the attention of the European elite. The Gunners were keen to bring him to the Premier League, but the striker opted for Juventus. Arsenal waited until the summer to sign Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City.
But with Jesus sidelined with a knee injury for the foreseeable future and Mikel Arteta’s side in an unexpected title race, the club has rekindled interest in Vlahovic, whose new employers are struggling in Serie A.
Juventus were surprisingly knocked out of the Champions League before their entire board resigned – with the club well behind in the race to regain the Scudetto. The Old Lady may have to sell players who are not happy with the current state of the squad.
According to Italian outfit Tutto sport through football.london (opens in new tab)the Gunners are speaking to Vlahovic’s representatives again, with the striker perhaps slightly more accessible now that his stint in Turin hasn’t gone as planned.
In addition, The Gunners have another trump up their sleeve when it comes to negotiations with the Serie A squad. According to a report by Calciomercatoweb (opens in new tab)the North Londoners will use Juve’s historic interest in centre-back Gabriel to broker a trade deal.
Arsenal have apparently agreed on a contract for left-wing centre-back Evan Ndicka, who is out of contract in the summer. However, this does not seem too likely as the player signed a new contract just before the World Cup.
At this point, Eddie Nketiah remains the most likely option to replace Jesus. The young England U21 star signed a new contract last summer and was given Thierry Henry’s iconic number 14 shirt.
Vlahovic is valued at €80 million by Transfer market (opens in new tab).
